Validate meaning, then retry only what can change

Ask whether another attempt can see anything new

Retry only when the failure can be repaired from supplied evidence. Otherwise change the input, accept null, or route ambiguity.

Why it matters

A bare retry repeats conditions; missing or contradictory source information is not recoverable by another reading.

Example

A wrong field format is retryable; a purchase-order number missing from every supplied document is not.
